Theirs began as a marriage of convenience but grew into a lifelong love affair as described in this critically acclaimed novel\, published July 29\, 2021. \nGail Ward Olmsted was a marketing executive and a college professor before she began writing fiction on a full time basis. A trip to Sedona\, AZ inspired her first novel Jeep Tour. DESCRIPTION:Come to the Sturbridge Town Common on Saturday July 23rd from 12pm to 3pm to enjoy a great celebration of the library’s 125 years of service to Sturbridge.  This event will offer music and fun games.  A scavenger hunt is being sponsored from July 8th to the 23rd.  All are invited to attend this free “Picnic on the Common”.   Come with your blanket and chairs to enjoy the live music from  Haphazard Jazz. There will be lawn games\, a food and ice cream truck\, raffles\, button making and a kid friendly “Touch a Truck experience”.  There will be a ceremonial cake cutting with cupcakes for the public.

DESCRIPTION:In continuation of the Joshua Hyde Library’s 125th Anniversary\, a 125th themed Scavenger Hunt is planned.   Starting on July 8th you may pick up a copy of the scavenger hunt questions at the library’s front desk that will lead you on a hunt through time.  All ages are encouraged to participate but some hunt tasks require crossing Main Street so all minors should be accompanied by an adult.  Hunt participants can pick up a Souvenir Hunt victory souvenir at the picnic on Saturday July 23rd. This promises to be an exciting\, educational and informative event!

She has worked as a journalist and writing teacher and now lives with her family on a farm in Vermont where they raise sheep and grow blueberries.
