DESCRIPTION:After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic\, Redcoats and Rebels is BACK at Old Sturbridge Village! \nSee the largest military re-enactment in New England with hundreds of costumed Revolutionary War reenactors\, both soldiers and civilians\, encamped on the Village Common. Visitors can not only explore our exhibits\, galleries\, and demonstrations and talk with our costumed historians about everyday life in early New England\, but also tour the camps\, witness recreated skirmishes and battles\, see special presentations\, and enjoy fife and drum music. \nDaytime events on both days of Redcoats & Rebels include activities such as: \n\nMock battles and skirmishes\nTours of the British and American camps\nCannon demonstrations\nMusket drilling with kids\nMartial music\nDrilling and inspection of the troops\nSee the daily life of a Revolutionary War soldier – including delivery of uniforms\, pay calls\, and prisoner exchanges\nAnd more!\n\nPlease Note: Due to the popularity of Redcoats and Rebels\, we ask that visitors purchase tickets with arrival blocks in order to spread out the arrival of visitors coming through the Visitor Center. \nAlso\, it’s Kids Free Summer at the Village!  Up to three kids 17 and younger are admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult paying full admission ($28) now through the end of Labor Day (September 5\, 2022).

DESCRIPTION:The popular Pan Mass Challenge bicycle event will be returning to Sturbridge in August.  The Pan-Mass Challenge is a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Always held the first weekend in August\, the PMC raises funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute\, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. \nEach summer\, thousands of riders and volunteers from 43 states and 12 countries participate in the PMC\, all with a common goal: to find a cure for cancer.
